Sixtiesmania Showband, one of Australia’s greatest exports,
has performed all over the world, and is now based in Las Vegas, Nevada,
the Entertainment Capitol of the World, playing to many wonderful, and exciting
audiences at such fabulous venues such as the Sahara Casino and Boulder
Station Casino. This high-energy, live Rock ‘n’ Roll show is
a sure crowd pleaser that opens with the early classic harmony sounds of
Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and continues with the hits that rocked
American Bandstand. Then the ‘British Invasion’ is upon us with
the arrival of the Beatles as they performed on the Ed Sullivan Show to
more than 73 million viewers. The Invasion continues as we are bombarded
with many of the other great British groups such as the Rolling Stones,
Gerry and the Pacemakers, the Searchers, the Dave Clark Five, and the ever-provocative,
pelvic-thrusting Tom Jones (a huge hit with all the ladies)!
All the “Pretty Women” are then serenaded by the ‘Pavarotti
of Pop’, Mr. Roy Orbison, in the first part of an American comeback
medley that responds to the Brit’s chart-topping domination. You are
then taken to the surf, sand and sun on the west coast for the California
Surf craze with America’s Band, the Beach Boys – complete with
beautiful beach babes!
Before you can even catch your breath, the band is back on stage complete
with the classic Sgt. Peppers costumes with their tribute to that milestone
Beatles album. The flower children of the “Age of Aquarius”
then bring everyone back to the ‘summer of love’ with hits from
groups such as the Doors, the Byrds, the Monkees, and another explosive
performance by the bad boy of rock himself, Mick Jagger!
Sixtiesmania does a heartfelt salute to the men and women who served their
‘tour of duty’ in Vietnam with signature songs such as “Born
to be Wild”, “For What It’s Worth”, and “He
Ain’t Heavy”.
After being taken through this powerful musical decade, interwoven with
historic multimedia, authentic costumes, vintage guitars, and the unsurpassed
energy and precision executed by the beautiful “Curvette Dancers”,
the sentiment is loud and clear that the ‘60s truly were a great defining
moment in music and events; it definitely was the decade that rocked the
world! And it definitely rocks the audience, both young and old, regardless
of whether they were a part of the ‘60s, or a product of it! Sixtiesmania
brings back the true meaning of “Showband”, and is a unique
production that has no generation gaps – an event for the whole family!
Do you remember the '60s? For just one night you can relive
the memory and escape to a time, not so long ago, when the world was a different
place. If you don’t remember the ‘60s…we guarantee you
WILL remember SIXTIESMANIA!
