Chris
Cardenas hails from Burbank, CA. a suburb of Los Angeles . He began
learning to play drums at age 11. He progressed so quickly that his first
gig was at 14 playing drums for a jazz/fusion band where the other players
were over twice his age! Chris is also an accomplished vocalist as well. Singing
is very much a second nature to him, saying that he was singing before he
could form words. Chris grew up playing drums and singing with many different
area bands. At one point being in 12 bands at once! Chris is an accomplished
jazz, rock and fusion drummer so he can easily blend in to just about any
style of music. And with a one of a kind voice and an ear for harmonies he
can sing lead or backing vocals with ease.
Henry Mateus is originally from Los Angeles where he began drumming at age 5. Played drums and sang lead vocals for many original bands in L.A. and played the Hollywood club circuit; Roxy, Troubador, Gazzaris, Whisky a-Go-Go, FM Station and Country Club, all while still in his teens. The big record deal never came but Henry produced his original album on his own and landed 6 of his original songs on Network Television (NBC) on "Pensacola Wings of Gold". Henry plays and teaches guitar, keyboards and bass in addition to drums and vocals. Henry loves all styles of music but his favorite is Rock and Roll from the 1960's. It was John Lennon and John Fogerty that inspired Henry to sing and play guitar and Ringo Starr that inspired him to play drums. Henry moved to Las Vegas from L.A. in 2007 to teach music and perform Classic Rock in The Casinos. www.henrymateus.com
